The common habit in Millennials and Z Generation

Millennial Generation and Z Generation, better known as technological generations, have the habit in common of consuming mass content through their mobile devices. Thats why we have to know which are the preferred platforms for them in order to grab their attention and spread out our brand messages within an attractive format to become in their favorites.


How they consume content?


According to this Episode analysis, where a sample of 36,000 people who are in the age range of these generations were surveyed, a 43% prefer their mobile device to read despite on an 27% use it to watch TV series and audiovisual content .

Smartphone is used constantly during the day and at any time such in appointments, job interviews or even in the shower.

It is common to used messaging applications and social networks rather than calling to communicate with their acquaintances, however this study reveals that 63% still preferred talk person to person.

Applications to socialize with new people are more popular in a time,  but they prefered meet people from the nearby environment.

How to Market to Mobile Obsessed Millennials


The latest generations determine their activities of their daily lives and important decisions with the use of digital technology. Thats why having a special dedication to the mobile marketing and develop a strategy based on any of its elements can transform them in a fans of our brand.

Millennials: Mobile strategies and online reputation

The new generations depends on their mobile devices. Each day new Apps are emerging adapted to these devices and all the Websites are responsive. For those reasons, It's necessary a marketing campaign adapted to mobile world when it comes to Millennials.

An study of Statista reveals that the consumption of the Internet this year is a 56,1% and in 2019, this consumption will rise to 63,4%. Moreover, a 71% of Millennials used this device to access to the Internet as a first option. Thus, if you pretend to impact this audience, the key is to take into account a mobile strategy.

If you decide to incorporate this kind of strategy, first you should know what content is interesting for Millennials. They access to the Internet to check their social network profiles, to chat and to consume videos. For that reason, a brand have to be there and to take care of its online reputation.

If a brand has social networks, that means, there are advantages and disadvantages. One of the best advantage is that the company can talk with its target and obtain accurate information. One disadvantage is that the company lose control and the users can spread bad comments about the brand affecting its reputation.

Despite the disadvantages , all companies have adapted to the online environment and the Millennials will be the strongest generation of the future, in fact, a 50 % of world consumption will come from this generation in 2017.
